| We are a British company
established in 1992 and based on the edge of the Cotswolds
in the centre of England. In the 1980’s we began our strong
connections with Finland by starting to import Finnish log
cabins which we still bring over to the UK. In 1988 we
also started to introduce exterior furniture and since then
have developed as a family firm of designers and direct
retailers of our products.
The idea of the range is that it has a natural and solid
appearance to blend sympathetically into a garden setting.
It’s ruggedness and the ability for the pieces to be left
outside all year make the range suitable as solid family kit
without being too precious or pretentious.
In recent years we have diversified strongly into the
Care Industry. Our curved and comfortable seat profile gives
lumbar support unlike most other garden furniture ranges. We
have an independent accreditation for the ergonomic
excellence from FIRA – the Furniture Industry Research
Association which has undoubtedly helped us to obtain orders
in the Care and Health Industries as well as to our many
family customers.
Nearly 30% of orders are repeat orders to existing
customers adding to their range or recommendations from
friends and family. We are now beginning to receive second
generation orders from purchasers who enjoyed our swings and
other pieces as children themselves.

This timber is grown in the
cold harsh Baltic climate and is slower grown material than that
produced in the UK and other temperate zones. The slow growth
produces a dense easily machinable material which will last for
up to 20 years in the UK with some simple maintenance. Our main marketing thrust is at the major gardening
exhibitions of which Chelsea Flower Show marks the highlight
of our season. In all we attend some 30 shows each year
making up over 100 show days. We also sell by Mail Order and
increasingly each year on the Internet.
