Timber
Selected Baltic pine (Pinus Sylvestris).
PEFC certified BMT-PEFC-0020 and FSC certified
TT-COC-003092.
This timber is grown in the cold harsh Baltic climate
and is slower grown material than that produced in the
UK and other temperate zones. The slow growth produces a
dense easily machinable material which will last for up
to 20 years in the UK with some simple maintenance.
Timber treatment
The timber is pressure impregnated at the sawmill and
conforms to the EU regulations and requirements of BS EN
599. The material used is either Tanalith E or Wolmanite
CX which are water based materials containing
copper and organic azoles which become fixed on
impregnation giving long term protection to the timber
from rot and decay.
Metal fixings
All the metal fixings used are weather protected
either galvanised, stainless steel or zinc coated.
Fabrics
Fabrics are available in any combination for cushions
and canopies.
Cushion fabric is olefin (100% polyester) as soft as
cotton drill but non rot, non fade, non mildew.
Cushion fabrics are for outdoor use only.
The filling is polyester fibre which does not hold
water allowing it to dry quickly.
The cushions can be dry cleaned and spots can be washed
with warm soapy water and rinsed by hose.
Most cushions are hinged between seat and back and
are piped in off white material.
Canopy fabric
Mesh fabrics are woven PVC coated polypropylene for
outdoor use only.
This material is very hard wearing non rot, non fade,
non mildew and can be hose cleaned and scrubbed.
